The Odisha government realized all the districts after strongly decorated most parts of the state because the low -pressure area over the Bengal had intensified depression, officials said on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).
In its latest Bulletin of the Indian Meterology Department (IMD), he said: “A well -marked low -pressure area above the Bengal Westcentral moved northwest and concentrated into depression.”
Depression is a condition that is followed by a well -marked low pressure and precedes cyclonic storm, which, according to weather experts, usually leads to severe collisions and impact winds.
Officials of the Ministry of income and disasters said that several parts of the state receive a downpour as a result of the development system.
IMD issued a warning of light to medium rainfall for all ODISHA districts for October 1, with chances of heavy rain (7 cm to 11 cm) in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kaput, Malkngiri and Zarangpur.
For October 2, the “red” warning of higher 20 cm of rainfall in Puri and Jagstingpur districts, warning “orange” (7 cm to 20 cm rain) for 14 districts and “yellow” warnings (7 cm to 11 cm rain) for the remaining 14 districts.
ODISHA asked all district collectors to maintain men and machines ready to deal with possible water floods, lightning floods, landslides and related activities, the officials said.
Fishermen were advised not to lead to the sea along the Odisha coast from October 1 to October 3.

“Under the influence of deep depression, the wind speed will be 40-50 km / h of 60 km / h.
IMD also proposed to lift the “local NO-III warning signal” (LC-3) in all ports in the state.
“The weather system was located about 400 km east-south-east of Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), 420 km South-east of Gopalpur (Odisha), 450 km south of Puri (Odisha) and 500 km south of Paradip),” Imd Bulletin said.
“It is very likely that it will continue to move northwest, intensify further into the deep depression and cross of Odisha and the adjacent coast of Andhra Pradesh between Gopalpur and Paradip during the early morning of October 3.”
In the paper on X, IMD Scientist Us Das said: “Rainfall continues the Odisha the day after the annual monsoon season ended on Tuesday, September 30).”
Meanwhile, the message from Cuttack said that 30 feet decorative gate built near Ravenshaw University for Durg Puja celebrations partly collapse due to severe precipitation. But no one was injured in the incident.
After the collapse of the structure, the transmission and movement for pedestrians was regulated.
