The Apollo Hospital released the fifth edition of its report “Health of the Nation 2025 (HON-2025), which was alarm for growing lifestyle.
According to the findings, it was found that out of 44,480 people it was found that 63% were obese and another 19% were overweight. The burden of hypertension was also significant, 23% of 44,448 proven was diagnosed with high blood pressure, while 55% were found to be before hypertension. As far as diabetes is concerned, 25% of 40 897 individuals were diabetic and 34% were prediabetic.
The data was collected from the Apollo Centers in Mialaguda, Warangal, Karimnagar, Secunderab, Drdo, Hyderguda and Jubilee Hills. The hospital stated that the findings were drawn from anonymized electronic medical records of preventive health controls, structured clinical evaluation and risk -based risk -based risks in hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories and wellness centers.
The report also marked trends in mental and nutritional health. Among 20,612 people who were screened for depression were diagnosed 3%. A similar percentage was recorded by anxiety, with 349 out of 10,274 individuals found to deal with these symptoms. Anemia was predominantly in 24% of 13,418 people, while 82% of 17,321 individuals tested were found to have vitamin-D deficiency. In addition, 22% of 20,765 individuals proven for obstructive sleep apnea were found.
Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice -President of Apollo hospitals, called for an urgent action in response to finding. “The report underlines the growing degree of obesity and before hypertension, which is deeply. It is not only statistics, but a sign that we have to act quickly,” she said.
