In the procedure against false Neet-Ug demands, the National Test Agency (NTA) identified 106 telegram and 16 instagram channels involved in the dissemination of false information, sources said on Thursday (May 1, 2025).
The reserved NTA portal for receiving such concerns has identified more than 1,500 claims for alleged paper leaks for the upcoming medical entrance examination.
In a decisive step towards protection of the integrity of the Neet Examination process (UG) 2025, the agency launched steps on a certain fraudulent telegram and instagram channels, claiming that they have access to the non -NEET questionnaire (UG) 2025.
“It discusses the entrance inputs obtained through the recently launched suspicious portal, NTA identified 106 telegrams and 16 Instagram channels involved in disinformation and attempt to introduce students,” the source said.
“These cases were formally escalated to the Indian Coordination Center of Cyber Crime (I4C) under the Ministry of the Interior for further legal and investigative measures,” the source added.
NTA asked a telegram and Instagram to remove these channels immediately to prevent the spread of deception and unnecessary panic among the candidates.
“Telegram and Instagram have been invited to share the details of the administrators and creators of these groups with agencies for enforcement for rapid investigation and prosecution,” the source said.
The medical acceptance test is scheduled for 4 May.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) carries out a number of meetings with district judges and superintendents of the police from all states and trade unions to ensure that there will be no impact in the upcoming Neet-G.
The Ministry carries out a comprehensive plan in response to last year’s alleged discrepancies, including paper leaks, which was worried about the integrity of the exam.
