Police of SR Nagar arrested 29 -year -old non -resident Indian for alleged cheating a woman from Hyderabad, almost 17 months after she filed a complaint.
The defendant, V. Shashank, was taken into custody of the Gandhi Rajiv International Airport (RGIA) May 25 after the officials received a tip to return to India.
According to the complainant, they were both in a living relationship before Shashank went to Great Britain and claimed to be going to watch higher studies. Reportedly promised to return and marry her, but once he ceased to be in contact with her.
The woman filed a complaint in December 2023, after the case was registered and a notification of the lookout tower was issued against SHASHANK.
The police said further investigation.
