On Thursday, Chairman of the Legislative Council of Basavaraj Horatti searched for an explanation from the main whip of the opposition in the house of N. Ravi Kumar for alleged derogatory and sexist notes against the main secretary Shalini Rajneesh. This was followed by the MLC Congress and the leaders who asked him to seek disciplinary measures against the BJP leader.
“Since this is a serious problem, I wrote to Mr. Ravikumar, who was looking for his answer to the reported note. Based on his answer, I will take further steps,” Mr. Horatti Hindu said by phone.
Meanwhile, the Association of Karnataka officers Ias condemned the alleged remarks of Mr. Ravikumar during a protest near Vishan Judge on Tuesday.
The Association said that public notes were “not only vulgar and slander, but also directly undermine the dignity of her office and the larger civil service”.
The delegation, which includes Gaurav Gupta, another main secretary, energy and water resources, and Pankaj Kumar Pandey, CEO, KPTCL, met the main Minister Siddaraiaha and submitted a letter of conviction.
The petition also pointed out that five weeks ago Mr. Ravikumar made similar statements against the representatives of Kalaburagi Fauzia Tarannum and questioned her nationality.
“Despite our previous appeal to corrective measures, it reflects the repetition of such behavior a disturbing pattern of targeting and defamation of public service officers,” they said.
In the further development, the day after the KPCC members filed a complaint, the police registered the first information report (companies) against Mr. Ravikumar for his alleged derogatory notes on Thursday.
Based on the complaint of Nagarathny, a city social worker, the police accused MLC according to sections 351 (3) (criminal intimidation), 75 (3) (sexual harassment) and 79 (word, gesture or action intended to insult a woman) from Bharatiya Nyhit).
“I didn’t say that”
Meanwhile, Mr. Ravikumar claimed on Friday that he had not made any derogatory notes against the main secretary.
“Let me say with all the strength to my command that I have not made any derogatory notes against the main secretary,” he said in his statement.
He said he had been in Hyderabad for the last three days in official work and was “shocked” to find out that the statement that was credited was doing wheels. Mr. Ravikumar called on the leader of the congress to present evidence against him.
