The former main selector of India Saba Karim named Kl Rahul as his ideal choice for the bat as Vihohli in the upcoming test series against England. Kohli retired just before the series left massive shoes to fill in the team management.
While many of them expect Captain SHUBMAN GILL BATE ON NUMBER FOUR, Saba Karim suggested that Kl Rahul be ideal for the role. The former dough with Wicketkeeper mentioned how Rahul can use his experience and play for a team with a double role of negotiation soon and also move forward shifts.
“Well, in the absence of Kohli, Rahul’s role is monumental. And I look at him like a dough that can bat. Many people have designed different tab positions, but I feel that KL is ideal for replacing or taking over.
In addition, Karim also said that Rahul has shown great maturity in England in the last few seasons.
“He has a temperament. And I think last season, season and a half it is a lot of maturity that came. So I think it’s a kind of responsibility with Indian team leadership,” he added.
In his test career, Rahul fired only twice on number four, by chance against England and recorded 108 on average 54. Right -handed dough recently restored as an opener In Australia during Trophy Border-Gavaskar 2024-25, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Therefore, it would be a great risk for team management to play with his tab position, especially after retirement Captain Rohit Sharma.
