
World Champion D Gukesh for the first time defeated Magnus Carlsen in a classic chess and handed over his first loss of head to his head against a teenage miracle in the Norwegian chess tournament 2025.
The sixth round of the collision in Stavanger had all the production of the classic. Carlsen, playing on home ground, confiscated the initiative soon and kept Gukesh under persistent pressure on a large part of the game. However, the Indian Grand Master refused to give up and steadily defended when they lowered the clock.
Just as it seemed that Gukesh would be forced to fold, Carlsen behaved. At serious time pressure, the former world champion recalculated – and Gukesh threw himself. With peace and accuracy, the eighteen -year -old turned the tables and forced Carlsen to a sudden collapse.
