North Korea Condemns Takeover Plan in Gaza as "Slaughter, Lootery"
In a rare public statement, North Korea has condemned the ongoing takeover plan in Gaza as "Slaughter, Looting" and "International Terrorism", in a rare statement criticising the actions of its ally, Iran.
In a statement released by the North Korean government, a high-ranking official from the Foreign Ministry described the situation in Gaza as "a tragic and brutal suppression of the Palestinian people" and "a stark reminder of the historical parallels between the Israeli occupation and the colonization of Korea by Japan". The statement accused Israel of perpetuating "state-sponsored terrorism" and "human rights violations" in the Gaza Strip.
The sudden condemnation is seen as a surprise by many analysts, as North Korea has traditionally been known for its support for various anti-Western and anti-Israeli causes.
