The stellar Indian stimulator Mohammed Shami faced a significant legal obstacle, because the High Court in Calcutta ordered him to pay monthly maintenance in the total number of RS 4 lakh to his stolen wife, Hasin Jahan. The order issued by the judiciary Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee orders Shami to pay RS 1.5 lakh per month for personal maintenance of Jahana and RS 2.5 lakh against care and expenditure of their smaller daughters.
This judgment comes after Jahan appealed against the Alipore command in Calcutta against the order of Alipore in 2018, which ordered Shami to pay 50,000 RS per month and another 80,000 R for her daughter’s expenses. At that time, Jahan was originally looking for a total of RS 10 lakh – RS 7 lakh for himself and RS 3 lakh for his daughter – but her request was rejected by a lower court.
In his appeal, Jahan’s legal advisor claimed that the financial situation of shami could support a higher amount of maintenance. According to his income tax return for the financial year 2021, the annual reception of shami was approximately R 7.19 Crore or around 60 lakh per month. Jahan claimed that her combined monthly expenses, including the cost of her daughter, exceeded RS 6 lakh.
We will take into account these details, the High Court ruled in favor of Jahan. The Mukherjee justice said in the command: “In my opinion, the amount of 1,50,000 RS to the petitioners No. 1 (wife) and 2,50,000 RS would be fair and proportionate to ensure financial stability for both petitioners.” The court also noted that Shami could voluntarily contribute other amounts to the educational or other future needs of his daughter.
The High Court challenged the foundation of the previous decision and stressed that it was not clear about the reasons for the Alipore court granted significantly lower amounts. The revised order noted that the earlier judgment required repair, especially due to the substantial earnings of Shami and the fact that Jahan married and lives alone with her daughter.
Hasin Jahan, a former model and cheerleader for Kalkata Knight, married Mohammed Shami in 2014. The couple had a daughter in 2015. Their relationship became bitter in 2018 when Jahan accused Shami of domestic violence, harassment of the dowry and browsing the match. She also claimed that he had stopped providing financial support from the household.
In 2023, Shami shared an emotional post on Instagram after a long department after meeting with his daughter Aira. “Time stood when I saw her again after a long time. I love you more than he can say words, bebo,” he wrote. The post has won over 1.6 lakh within an hour.
Jahan, however, rejected the gesture and claimed that it was only for public display. When she talked to Anandabazar Patricka, she said: “It’s just because of showing. My daughter’s passport expired and Shami’s signature is needed to restore. Therefore, she met him. He took her to the shopping center associated with the brand for which he does not have to pay.”
She added that her daughter wanted a guitar and a camera she refused to buy. “Shami never asks my daughter. He’s only busy with herself. He met her a month ago, but he didn’t publish anything at that time. I think he had nothing to publish now, so he recorded it,” Jahan said.
