CN Vijayakumari, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and Head of the Department of Sanskrit, University of Kerala, has been appointed as a member of the Court of Pondicherry University.
She was nominated by the president to the highest governing body of the central university.
Meanwhile, Prof. Vijayakumari, who was embroiled in a controversy over the PhD title of a research fellow, disappointed with the large number of students at the Karyavattom University campus. The protesters raised slogans against Dean and Vice-Chancellor Mohanan Kunnummal during the demonstration which lasted for almost an hour.
