Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy clarified that the government is not considering canceling any existing district or creating new districts at this stage and asked people not to succumb to the fear created by the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS).
Mr. Reddy strongly objected to what he described as “false propaganda” being spread by the BRS regarding the reorganization of districts in Telangana. He categorically denied the allegation that Bhupalpally district was disturbed and claimed that there was no such proposal before the government. BRS deliberately misled the public by spreading rumours.
The Chief Minister said that any future discussion on district reorganization would be initiated only after getting the views of all stakeholders and opposition parties and conducting a detailed debate in the State Assembly. He warned people against falling prey to what he called “conspiratorial politics” by the opposition party to gain political mileage through misinformation.
Mr. Reddy also refuted the allegations leveled by BRS regarding the Singareni Collieries issues and clarified that the medically unfit board would be removed. He assured that compassionate recruitment in Singareni would continue without interruption. The government will further take steps to resolve the long-pending issue of 217 dismissed Singareni workers, the chief minister said, reiterating his government’s commitment to protect workers’ interests.
