On Saturday, Raj Bhavan described on Saturday as “absolutely unfounded” news that he was proposing to seek the protection of the central forces for the governor with regard to protests against him by some organizations for youth and students.
In his statement, Raj Bhavan said that such a step or plan did not exist and that there was no threat to the governor – direct or indirect -.
He also said that Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Alelekar has a complete belief in the service and efficiency of the police in Kerala when they are released.
“It fulfills its duty very well and to the best satisfaction of Raj Bhavan. Keral Raj Bhavan strongly excludes any threat, direct or indirect, to the governor,” the statement said.
Raj Bhavan said that the reports made by the media are “nothing about anything and they are just a figment of their imagination and speculation”. “Media people are hereby requested to limit themselves before the public is insertion by publishing or sending such unsubstantiated stories,” he said.
