Indian Super League Club Bengaluru FC decided to suspend players’ salaries due to growing uncertainty during the home football season. On Monday, August 4, August announced its decisions on its social media platforms and said it would no longer pay its players and support staff for a moment.
The Indian football scene is in Limbo without announcing the next issue of the Indian Super League. The tournament was stopped because of the differences between AIFF and Football Sports Development Limited, operated by Reliance Corporation.
“Given the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Indian Super League season, the Bengalur football club has accepted what is very difficult to indefinitely suspend the salaries of players and employees belonging to the first team. Running and maintaining a football club in India has always been the ascents that we put aside and did after the season,” said Monday on Monday.
“However, the lack of clarity in the future of the league does not leave us with a choice but to take this step. The future and the well -being of our players, employees and their families are most important to us and we are in contact with them when we are waiting for a resolution,” he added.
However, the club mentioned that it was committed to developing football in the country and that football schools for young players would remain intact.
“The club is still determined to grow and develop sport and our operations with our youth teams – men and women – and BFC football schools remain unaffected by this decision. We offer AIFF and FSDL to end this hopelessness.
The All India Football Federation is held on Thursday, August 7 in Nový Delhi, a key meeting with the leaders of Isl in Nový Delhi. The development comes after the season of the Isl 2025-26, organized by the organizers of the FSDL, because of the uncertainty surrounding the renewal of the main rights agreement (MRA) with the National Federation.
The 15 -year MRA between AIFF and FSDL – commercial and marketing partner AIFF – will be expired on 18 December this year. However, the Federation was limited from negotiating new conditions until the Supreme Court declared its judgment on the case of the AFF Constitution.
