Do you think Jaiswal’s approach to practice will inspire other young crickets?
“Actually, I like it. For example, in a recent Squad game, Harshit Rana and Bumrah Bhai Bowling really well, I didn’t get runs easily, but I still played. That gave me a lot of self -confidence and belief that I could survive and go through hard phases.”Quiz: Who is the IPL player? Dhruv then adds a personal touch: “When we played for India and, you told me that you just have to score a run in England regardless of it. Even if the ball moved a lot, you wanted the same challenge in the nets. They both laugh and Jaiswal tries to avoid the question and say “You tell them!” But then he explains: “I don’t do much. When I have to be serious, I stay serious. I focus on my preparation and try to keep in peace. That really helps me.” This little, sincere conversation shows exactly what fans love Jaiswal – simple, hardworking and absolutely clear in their goals.
