No Lingayat leader criticized Hinduism even during the movement to gain recognition as a religion for Lingayat or otherwise, he said on Thursday at Belagavi, a Belagavi in Gadag, Gadag.
He answered questions from students and the general public within Basava Sanskruti Abhiyan.
He denied the accusation that the hangers or community leaders were abusing Hinduism or emphasize some social evil associated with Hinduism.
“First of all, we have to understand that Hinduism is not a religion. It is a way of life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeated it. If you consider it in this great framework, we are all geographical Hindus.
“We are fighting to ensure our identity. I don’t think any Lingayat leader criticized Hinduism or offended or against the faith of Hinda faith. However, the reformers and leaders were against customs, superstitions and discrimination in our society.
“The state government has adopted a report on the justice of Nagmhan Das on the recognition of the religion of Lingayat and handed it over to the Union’s government. Now we are urging the center to accept it,” he said.
He dismissed the community to write Lingayat in a column of religion in a social and educational survey and mention their caste in the column of caste.
“Since we haven’t done it in the past, commissions of backward classes led by LG Havanur and Venkat Swami did not recognize Lingayat as one group,” he said.
The faithful said that until 1871 all government documents linked Lingayat as a religion. “But in 1881 it changed because of the trick of some of the interests that turned it into a caste between hindy. Once we gain recognition as a religion, we will gain minority status and all government benefits. Then it will not be necessary to book,” he said.
On the question he said that the marriage between the beliefs is accepted in the religion of Lingayat. “Basavanna led the way in the 12th century. Love does not know any religious barriers. Anyone who takes the lingu deeksha by accepting Basavann’s philosophy will become Lingayat. There is no confusion,” he said.
Sri Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami of Sanehalli said that the aim of the movement is to create awareness between ordinary people and politicians.
“We are convinced that politicians will understand this problem slowly,” he said.
On the question of why there is no unity between Lingayat politicians, Sri Shivanand Swami from Aadi Handigund Math said that the trend is that they are only united for power.
“However, as soon as the level of awareness increases between the public, politicians will gather for the cause of religion status,” he said.
Mata Vagdevi said that Basavanna’s ideology has universal attraction and is not limited to some groups. “It’s something he needs, especially students. He should be introduced in textbooks,” she said.
Sri Nijagunananda Swami of the Nischal MantaPad said that the bad effects of Western culture could be reduced by the introduction of Basava culture during childhood.
“We have to move our youth and children from darkness, corruption and superstition. They can be present in our Vedic culture or foreign culture. But we have to lead them to Basava culture,” he said.
Pan-Karnataka Abhiyan is organized by various Lingayat associations, including the Jagatics Lingayat Mahasabha, Lingayat Mathadisara Sanghathan, Sharan Saahityya Parishad, Rashtriya Basava Dal and Lingayat Sanghatane. Mega rally will be hands in Bengaluru 5 October.
Asked about the artificial intelligence of Mahantaprabh Swami of Shegunasi, he said that “AI is just a tool that helps us get information.” “It can never replace the guru. But we must control it,” he said.
Basavalinga Pattaddevar of Bhallki said Shaiva was preceded by Lingayat. But it consisted of social evil, such as a caste system. Vedic religions allowed caste practices. But Lingayat doesn’t have it, he said.
Sri Siddarama Swami said Basavanna founded Lingayat religion when he was angry with the social evil of Vedic religion.
Previously, the hanger revealed a large picture of the Anubhav Mantap in Rudrakshi mathematics. A parade was eliminated in the city. The leaders of the Basavaraj Rotti, SG Sidnel, Chandrashekar Gudasi, Ashok Malagali and others were present.
