India has a key decision to make before its five match test series in England. According to Indian Express, Jasprit Bumrah is unlikely to be a leading role for the series against these three lions.
The news suggests that the team leadership is trying to treat a new face – someone who can eventually replace Rohit Sharma when they enter an international cricket. Bumrah formerly Captain India in a pregnant fifth test against England in 2022 and later led the team in matches against Australia in Perth and Sydney.
Recurrent concerns about injuries, however, have limited availability of Bumhrah, his latest international appearance comes in the New Year’s SCG test. Despite this, India has some promising ways to consider the role of vice-capitan.
