NLCIL shows 8.74% growth in operating income

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Coal, reported an increase in operating income of 8.74% for the third quarter ended December 31, 2025.

The company reported revenue of ₹ 12,447.07 crore as against ₹ 11,446.97 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to a press release, the company reported a net profit of ₹ 1,281.59 crore as against ₹ 1,243.76 crore in the previous year. NLCIL achieved coal production of 113.33 lakh tonnes. Net income was ₹20,639.91 crore, an increase of 11.92% from ₹18,441.43 crore in the same period of the previous year.

The company recorded a gross electricity generation of 20,543.12 million units. This includes renewable energy generation of 1,595.95 million units.

Highlights also included a statement on commercial operation II. block (660 MW) of the 1,980 MW Ghatampur Thermal Power Project (GTPP) and commencement of mining at Pachwara South open pits.

NLCIL also issued a Letter of Award for setting up a 4MW green hydrogen power plant at Neyveli.
