NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for setting up a 110 MW Grid Connected Solar Photovoltaic Project in Uttar Pradesh under captive mode.
NCRTC, a joint venture between the Government of India and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, is developing a project to power its entire regional rapid transit system corridor.
NLCIL said the LoA was issued pursuant to a competitive bidding process conducted by the NCRTC. The project includes the establishment, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the solar power plant and is expected to be completed within 24 months of the signing of the power purchase agreement.
The project will satisfy NCRTC’s self-consumption requirements and promote the adoption of clean and sustainable energy for large-scale infrastructure projects.
