Former Indian cricket and seasoned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar believes that the absence of a young versatile Nitish Kumar Reddy in the upcoming fourth test against England in the Indian team will not create a great imbalance. The match is set at the beginning on Wednesday, July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
Nitish, which impressed the third test with a fixed versatile performance, scored 43 runs and claimed three goals, was excluded from the rest of the series due to knee injury. While his contributions were remarkable, Manjrekar is convinced that India can handle without him and even consider injuries to strengthen the ranking order.
Manjrekar said at ESPN Cricinfo, he said, “I don’t think it will create a big imbalance, or the Indian team will suddenly be weak because Nitish Kumar Reddy helped as a pitch in the last match, but Akash Deep was out of color.
The former dough pointed to the Indian bats during the Lord’s test, especially in the second shift, where they did not achieve in persecution, as a reason to re -evaluate the team’s composition.
“Maybe India should replace it with a clean body because we saw collapse in the previous game and we’re in it,” Manjrekar said.
“Prazidha’s Back is not meaningful”
India, currently fighting more concerns injury, is also without Pacers Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh for Manchester Test. Both fast -mounted pitchs were excluded, so the team had new possibilities. Among those who are in Fray are unlimited Pacer Anshul Cartear, which has recently been developed into the team and could be subjected to the test debut.
Manjrekar is in favor of giving a 24 -year -old shot. Anshul had an impressive home run and raised 34 goals in just six matches in just six games in Trophy 2024–25. In total, he took 79 goals out of 24 first -class games and maintained a healthy average of 22.88.
While another option would be Prasidh Krishna, who performed in the first two tests, Manjrekar is careful about the memory of the pitch that was recently dropped due to lack of form.
“There could be cloudy conditions in the old transformer. Then you need simple pitching. Maybe Prasidh Krishna is more appropriate if the playground is reflected and is also slightly experienced.
Instead, the commentator supports the TRIO JASPRIT BUMRAH, Mohammed Siraj and Anshul Cartej to lead an Indian bowling attack under conditions that could offer some movement.
While India is trying to bounce back in the decisive fourth test, Manjrekar’s knowledge reflects the strategic re -evaluation of the required in the middle of the growing list of injuries.
