Star versatile Nitish Reddy wants to leave Sunrisers Hyderabad. Resources close to development today told India that Reddy was looking for a new beginning, just a year after he was left in the mega-ouction by the franchise of the Indian Premier League.
SRH paid Nitish Kumar Reddy RS 6 crore to keep players in mega-auction. He was one of the five players that SRH retained after reaching the final in the 2024 season. Nitish and Abhishek Sharma were the only two Indian players who were shown in mega-auction in December 2024.
India, however, learned today that the versatile is not very satisfied with his role. Nitish played 13 matches in the IPL 2025 season. He played mostly as a dough and only 5 overs to be bowling throughout the season. The nitish detonated between positions 5-no.7, with most of his matches coming to No. 6 or No. 7.
This significantly reduced its production with the bat, because the versatility attracted only 182 runs in 13 games, which is a significant reduction in its production in 2024, where he scored 303 runs.
The sources of Masthead said that Nitish wanted role 4 in SRH last season and agreed to maintain after assurance. However, as it turned out in the 2025 season, the complex playground in IPL meant that franchise needed an experienced fighter for No. 4, the role given to Heinrich Klasen.
Klasen had his best season in the IPL in his new role and hit 487 runs in a hit of 172.70, including a hundred.
If Nitish leaves SRH and goes to the auction fund, several teams are expected to be interested in the service of a player who has the ability to mix quickly and hit large shots at will.
Nitish lands in legal difficulties
Meanwhile, the versatility got into legal problems with his former Square player agency. Nitish Reddy’s former agent filed a petition against him and sought via Rs 5 crore in unpaid fees.
India has previously announced that the relationship between Nitish Reddy and his former players’ management agency, Square The One, disintegrated during the Border-Gavascar Trophy 2024-25. The player then signed with the manager of another cricket India, who was also part of this tour.
The Agency for Player Administration, Square The One Private Limited, filed a petition pursuant to Section 11 (6) of the Act on the Arbitration and Conciliation Agreement, accusing the breach of the agreement and non -payment of fees. The case is expected to be heard at the High Court in Delhi 28 July.
