Niti Aayog refused to provide information about the functioning of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as non -governmental organizations (NGOs).
The answer to the RTI application, which is looking for a copy of the RSS registration certificate to perform its function of the NGO, the voluntary Niti Action Cell said that the information is “personal” and “third -party information”. Quoted section 8 (a). (J) of the RTI Act of 2005 in order to refuse information.
The application was submitted by PP Kapoor, an activist of RTI based on Panipat, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who describes the RSS as a non -governmental organization, at its address on the nation on August 79 this year.

Mr. Kapoor claimed that the information regarding the RSS was intentionally hidden. “Modi said in his address for the nation of independence that RSS is a non -governmental organization. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also appreciated the newspaper articles that identified their 75th birthday.
