
In and Move Twards Accelerating India’s Renewable Energy Goals, NLC India Renewables Limited (Nirl), A Wholly-Ond Subsidiar of NLC India Limited Limited (Mahapreit).
The agreement of the SE was signed in the presence of Vikram Dev Dutt, secretary, ministries of coal, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, director of NLCIC and BIPIN SHIRMALI, CEO Mahapreit.
According to NLCIL, this cooperation is the main milestone in the strategic expansion of Nirl and invasion of the state of the prosperous sector of the renewable energy of Maharashtra. The company (JVC), which is to be created under this agreement, will help to develop up to 2,000 MW of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hybrid, floating solar, storage system, drawing and solar parks, with an initial focus of 500 MW in phase I,
The company of the joint enterprise will have a joint stock structure of 74% of NORL held and 26% of Mahapreit.
According to the terms of the Mahapreit agreement, it will facilitate the identification and allocation of land for projects in addition to the development of the energy evacuation system in the grid. On the other hand, NIRL will help in preparing detailed projects on projects, organization of funding and development of renewable energy projects.
JVC will sell energy through competing and regulated routes according to the Electricity Act and will focus on a combination of discom, government entities and commercial and industrial consumers.
According to Mr. Dutt, the signing of this Agreement on JV between Nirl and Mahapreit is a demonstration of the Union’s commitment to support the partnership of cooperation that accelerates the ground to green energy.
The huge potential of Maharashtra’s renewable energy, associated with the proven expertise of Nirl, will serve as a catalyst for sustainable growth and energy security. “The coal sector actively supports the decarbonization path, and such partnership embodies the synergy needed to achieve our national objectives for deploying renewable energy and climate resistance,” he said.
