The 42 -year -old woman infected with NIPAH on Saturday continued criticism, although she received two doses of monoclonal antibodies. A woman from Valalanchera is treated at the EMS Memorial Hospital, Perinthalmann.
On Saturday, a negative eight other people from the NIPAH patient’s contact list were tested. All 25 persons tested were negative. An additional 37 persons were included in the NIPAH contact list, with the total number to increase to 94.
When 40 of them are in the Malappuram district, 11 in the Palakkad district and one in Ernakulam and Kozhikode District. When 53 is in the high risk category, 41 is in the low risk category.
Six people from a high risk category are currently in various hospitals. Four of them are in the Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri.
Health officials included 1,781 houses in and its surroundings as part of a fever survey conducted as a result of NIPAH infection. Up to 52 people were contacted by the phone and three were given psychological counseling.
