Nine people have so far been arrested in connection with the municipal clashes held on Saturday (April 11, 2025) during Hanuman Jayanti’s parade in Maan Singh Thakur, Hindui said on Saturday (April 11, 2025).
Mr. Thakur said 13 people suffered minor injuries in clashes that took place in the Colonelganj area in the city around 19:45
He said that while the procession passed the mosque, a quarrel broke out among members of two communities that resulted in a stone pelting.
While the situation is now normal, the police staff was deployed in a difficult number throughout the city.
The officer said that companies against five identified men and about 20 unknowns were filed last night on the basis of a complaint from the members of the Hindu community.
“We have arrested nine men, including the main accused Vicky Pathan, with the help of CCTV and mobile shots. We identify more people involved in the incident,” Guna said another SP, claiming that “no complaint has been received yet.”
Mr. Thakur said that the procession was also discarded without permission.
“The organizers gave information about it on April 7, but did not take a formal authorization of local administration,” he added.
Ranjeet Khatik, one of the parade organizers, said PTI, “Administration says there was no permission, but I have all the proof of permission.” The stones were growl when some boys picked up the slogans “Jai Shri Ram”, while the second group, in retaliation, raised the slogan “Allahu Akbar”, claimed.
Based on the complaint of the local corporator, a case was registered in which four five persons were appointed, while 15-20 others were not identified, the official said.
Security forces from neighboring districts were deployed here, he said.
