Nine people suffered injuries in a collision between members of the drug committee and a group of young people over alleged drug use near the fourth bend of the hairline Thamarassery Ghat Road on Sunday, May 18.
Activists reportedly saw young people with drugs in a shop on the spot four days ago and warned them. When they repeated this act, activists reportedly questioned them, after which the young people reportedly attacked the first. According to the police Thamarassery, another group of drug activists came on the spot, led to escalation of tension.
Nine injured people were taken to Taluk Hospital in Thamarassery. The police registered the case against four persons for the Committee complaint.
