
Nimhans will host the fourth edition of its flag initiative for information about public awareness, Mental Health Santhe 4.0, 17 and 18 October at NiCans’ Congress Center. Two -day events, open from 10:00 to 16:30, will combine mental health organizations, experts, carers and the public in a collective effort to support mental well -being and prevent suicide.
Organized by the Ministry of Education in Mental Health in cooperation with several departments of Nimhans-including psychiatry, psychiatric social work, nursing, clinical psychology, rehabilitation services and NiMhans Centrime for Blahobyt-is supported by the SWACHHTA 2025-26 Action Plan.
This year’s theme “Mental Mental Community Community” coincides with the global adherence to World Mental Health Day 2025 and emphasizes the importance of collective responsibility in the care of mental resistance.
“Santhe”, inspired by the word Kannada for the marketplace, will include interactive stalls, educational sessions and practical educational experience. The main points include screenings of films, information stalls on mental health and rehabilitation services, access to help line and even the opportunity to organize a real sample of the brain for experiential learning.
A unique attraction will be the “Poetry Pharmacy” stand, where visitors can choose medicinal poems in scrolls or bottles and testify to the poet Mariyam Saigal Craft personalized verses, inspired by individual reflections and emotions.
