On Tuesday (June 3, 2025), the Election Commission rejected the nomination administered by the entire Indian Congress of Trinamool (AITC) Kerala State Conventner PV Anvar for the assembly of June 19 in Nilambur.
During the inspection, the Election Commission rejected his nomination of AITC candidate for technical reasons. However, the Commission accepted its second nomination as an independent candidate. Mr. Anvar attacks the elections as independent.
Mr. Anvar seemed to be independent of his candidacy when he said on Sunday that it would be difficult to attack the AITC flag, because this party had no registration in Kerala.
On Tuesday, soon after the rejection of his AITC nomination, Mr. Anvar said he was waiting for the last election commission. He said the Commission sought to clarify from the National AITC leadership.
According to official sources, AITC nomination was rejected for incomplete documentation.
However, sources close to Mr. Anvar reported that he deliberately presented the nomination in a way that would prepare his way to attack as an independent candidate.
