The President of Congress Tamil Nadu (TNCC) K. Selvaperunthagai said on Wednesday that in 1974 there was nothing wrong in the decision of the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1974.
However, he said that the party now supports the resolution that has undergone the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, which asks the Union government to take steps to obtain the island of Katchatheeva.
“Nowadays, if the acquisition of Katchatcheev helps to solve the problems of fishermen, we will be very happy,” said Mr. Selvavaterunthagai to journalists outside the assembly complex.
He said that Indira Gandhi also ensured that India would return the acre lakes through the Wadge Bank Agreement, which ensured that we had rich mineral resources.
