The Cabinet subcommittee deals with the Bangalore-Massur Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project, carried out by the NANDI Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE). The subcommittee, which is yet to be created, will deal with accusations of excess land acquisition, land sales and other questions and examine whether the road project should continue. The message is expected in two to three months.
The decision to create a subcommittee was made during the cabinet meeting here on Friday. “There is no possible discussion at one meeting. It is necessary to consider technical and legal questions. The conditions of reference conditions will be announced for subcommittee and its scope,” the Minister of Laws and Parliamentary Affairs HK Patil said in his branch briefing.
When the Minister asked about the TB Committee report about a nice problem, he said that the subcommittee will be attracted by the Jayachandra Committee’s report for assessment. “The Subcommittee Committee may consider reports of the Public Accounts Committee, Reports of the Committee on Legislators, Legislators’ Proceedings, more than 100 affidavits that we filed with the courts, and the Supreme Court’s orders and the Supreme Court.”
He also pointed out that the discussion of the BMIC project began as early as 1998, when the legislative council witnessed about 30 hours of discussion.
The Cabinet also approved the release of a separate TDR for the soil used for expanding roads and soil that was not used to increase the road. Tellings of 1,017 m2 of the country used to expand the road will be issued separately.
