On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed an indictment against the three accused in connection with the 2024 case on the grenade attack on the police post in the SBS Nagar district, Nia said on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The case was associated with the conspiracy of the forbidden terrorist clothing Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), he added. Three accused individuals, Yugpreet Singh, Jankan Singh and Harjot Singh are from the village of Rahon in SBS Nagar. They were accused according to various parts of the Act on Unlawful Activities (Prevention), Explosive Substances and other related provisions.
NIA also launched a probe against the chief of KZF and the “intended individual terrorist” Ranjita Singh, another member of Jagjit Singh Lahiri, who is currently in the UK and other unidentified terrorist workers.
“NIA continues its investigation in the case of its efforts to destroy KFZ’s attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on coercive devices and sensitive installations and targeted killing in the Pandjab state,” he reads in a statement.
What did the NIA spacecraft reveal?
The case was taken over by NIA from the Panjab Police in March this year. During her investigation, the agency found that Jagga had hired Yugpreet Singha through a friend in the UK. He then radicalized Yugpreet together with other KZF members and communicated with him through encrypted messages for sending messages.
Yugpreet was also given more than £4.36 Lakh terrorist funds through the complex chain of Canadian entities from Jaggy. These entities were identified and examined, NIA said.
Yugpreet further hired two other accused in this case. Three of them attacked the police post Asron between 1 December 2024 and 2 December 2024. The three accused were given a grenade their manipulators based abroad in November 2024.
