
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) charged another accused on Thursday in the case of the murder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sreenivasan members of the prohibited People’s Front of India (PFI) in Palakkad, the officials said.
In the supplementary accusation submitted before the Special Court of NIA, Ernacula, Rafeek MS was charged with various sections of the Indian Criminal Code and the Act on illegal activities (prevention). It is 64. The accused of being charged in this case, the officials said.
71 accusations
So far, NIA has identified 71 accused in the case and continues to investigate and is looking for eight escapes.
Rafeek, active cadre PFI, conspired with other accused persons involved in the attack on Sreenivasan, according to the investigation of NIA.
“He consciously hid Muhammed Shefeek, a key conspiracy member and a Recce team involved in the murder. Rafeek also destroyed evidence and even after the attack he continued in Harbor Shefeek, although he was banned in September 2022 by government in India,” the statement said.
Sreenivisan was murdered on April 16, 2022.
