The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against two accused, including Pakistani gangster Shehzad Bhatti, in connection with the 2025 grenade attack on YouTuber Roger Sandhu’s house in Jalandhar, Punjab.
The NIA took over the case from the Punjab Police in December 2025. In a charge sheet filed in a special court, it has termed Shehzad as an absconder. The other accused is Dipander Pratap Singh alias Deepan Rana who was arrested recently.
The agency invoked various provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Explosive Substances Act, the Arms Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act.
The Punjab Police initially registered the case in March last year and charged nine people based on their investigation. The grenade attack on Mr. Sandhu’s house in Raipur Rasoolpur village was carried out in the early hours of March 16, 2025.
According to the NIA, Shehzad orchestrated the attack from abroad as part of a larger conspiracy involving a large network of terror modules involved in targeted killing, recruitment and smuggling of arms and ammunition into India.
“Shehzad used encrypted communications to direct various players involved in the attack…Dipander acted as a key local intermediary to the gangster and provided logistical support to the attackers. He was also involved in handling illegal arms and explosives,” it said on Thursday (April 2, 2026).
“A total of 10 accused have been arrested in the case so far, while seven others, including Shehzad, whose current whereabouts are unknown, are absconding,” the NIA said.
