The Indian National Authority for the motorway (Nhai) was looking for about 2.5 acres of land from Indian railways for the construction of vehicles through the obtok tiruchi-chennai in G. Corner in the city.
The construction of the Anunderpass via the bypass, which is part of the busy National Highway Chennai-Tiruchi-Madurai, was long waiting for the public demand. Member of the Parliament Tiruchi Durai Vaiko carried out the project by carrying out a joint inspection of a place with higher officials of railways and Nhai.
Subsequently, he called the Minister of Road Transport and Motorways of Nitin Gadkari and urged him to first sanction the underpass. Minister, said Mr. Durai Vaiko, he replied positively to the request.
Subsequently, Nhai officials were looking for about 2.5 acres of soil from railways on both sides of the highway for the construction of the underpass.
“We handed over the requirement to the railways. Once the land is assigned, we will bring a proposal to build a vehicle underpass,” said Hinde official official Nhai.
Mr. Durai Vaiko told Hindu that after applying Nhai, the railway authorities asked to speed up the land transfer. “The detailed report of the project for the underpass is likely to be prepared by mid -June,” he said.
From the expansion of the highway to the four lanes, the inhabitants of Golden Rock and Beyond and the employees of the Golden Rock Rock Rocky workshop, they demand the construction of the underpass to provide direct access to the workshop.
With the expansion of the road to a four -lane highway, the bypass was depicted from the border for residents who had to take 2 km detour to reach Senthaneerpuram, which is across the road. A two -way service lane, which now serves as an access route for the Golden Rock from the TVS Tollgate intersection, is narrow and prone to accidents.
Initially, although Nhai was willing to build a underpass, the railways were not willing to provide land. Negotiations between Nhai and railways held in 2012 did not lead to any tangible result. Nhai then searched for 3,000 square meters of railways and crore 1 from the railway. In one stage, the railway authorities applied to provide land, but the issue of sanctions of funds was not solved.
Given that Railways and Nhai officials agree that the proposal is now dealing with, the project is expected to take off after completing the land.
