
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) pulled the municipal corporations of the Gurogram and Faridabad over “gross deficiencies” in waste management at the Bandhwari dump in the Grumram.
NGT also ordered the Haryan (HSPCB) pollution Council to make a fresh honorary statement that reveals the details of the fee and the restoration of environmental compensation from the municipal corporations of the Gurrogram and Faridabad within six weeks.
“Ther is no consistent plan by municipal corporations of Grrabogram and Faridabad on Setting Up Waste Processing Facillities. Municipal Corporation of Grrabogram Earlier Had a Plan 2027, ”The Principal Bench of the Ngt Said in an Order Datad April 15, WHICH WAS UPLOADED ON THE WEBSITE ON TUESDAY.
The main bench of the NGT, consisting of President Prakash Shivastava, a court member of Sudhir Agarwal and expert A. Senthil Vel, issued an order related to incorrect treatment of waste in landfill Bandhwari.
The Green Court also noted that the amount of waste in the landfill has increased over time.
“In the honorary statement of 13.12.2024 filed by the municipal company, a gurigram, a balanced amount of waste to be processed as on 01.12.2024, was published as 8.84 Lakh MT.
