Roman Reigns Makes Surprise Return to WWE RAW
Roman Reigns made an unannounced return to WWE this week on RAW, appearing during the main event Steel Cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. The Tribal Chief wasted no time, attacking Rollins before brutally assaulting Punk as Paul Heyman watched in shock from ringside.
Vince Russo’s Scathing Review of RAW
On a recent episode of Legion of RAW on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Vince Russo shared his unfiltered thoughts on this week’s episode, which took place at Madison Square Garden. The former WWE writer didn’t hold back in his criticism.
“What a st show, man. What a freaking st show. You know, bro, they think none of it is going to matter. Two hours and 25 minutes of absolute st is not going to matter because Roman’s coming out at the end. You knew it, bro. You knew it. I tweeted out at about 9:30, whatever it was, people can check my timeline. I tweeted out Roman coming out at the end of this st show is not going to save this s**t show.” [03:52 onwards]
Russo also criticized WWE for airing a vignette of historic steel cage matches before the main event, arguing that it only highlighted the lackluster quality of today’s product.
“This was Madison Square Garden, and you have the gall to play cage matches from the past. You have the gall to play ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka and the great Don Muraco and ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage. You’ve got the gall, ‘cause you know what you do, bro? All you’re doing is reminding us how bad it is today. That’s all you’re doing, bro. You’re reminding us how bad it is today.” [04:27 onwards]
What’s Next for Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins?
Reigns’ surprise return seems to have set the stage for a highly rumored triple threat match involving himself, Rollins, and Punk. As the Road to WWE WrestleMania 41 continues, fans are left wondering what’s next for these three stars.
