Julian Lewis continues to build on his impressive career with another major accomplishment. The Colorado signee was named High School Quarterback of the Year by the National Quarterback Club, recognizing his standout senior season at Carrollton High School in Georgia.
Lewis took to social media to share his gratitude for the honor. On Saturday, he posted a photo of himself holding the award alongside three others at the ceremony. The caption read:
“Honored to be recognized as HS QB of the Year and thankful for everyone who has been a part of my journey so far. #TrustGod #KeepWorking”

This award adds to Julian Lewis’ growing list of accolades since committing to Colorado. In December, he was named Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year, highlighting the talent the Buffaloes are bringing into their program. His potential impact as a freshman is highly anticipated.

Initially viewed as the natural successor to Shedeur Sanders at Colorado, Lewis now faces significant competition from Kaidon Salter, who joined the team via the transfer portal this offseason. However, Lewis embraced the challenge when he announced his switch from USC to Colorado on the Pat McAfee Show in November.
“It’s big for me, just coming in after Shedeur, seeing what he’s done at Colorado and what he’s turned it into,” Lewis said. “It’s definitely a blessing to get to this position, coming in after him with his dad. Coach Prime has always said the best man is going to play. That’s really what I wanted, was to be able to compete… I don’t have much fun sitting on the bench, so I want to come to where I have a chance to play.”
Lewis’ father, TC Lewis, also expressed confidence in his son’s ability to rise to the challenge. He emphasized the opportunities Colorado provides for Julian’s development and path to playing time.
