Carey Price and Family’s Travel Troubles Due to Expired Passport
On Monday, Angela Price, wife of NHL goalie Carey Price, shared an update on their travel struggles caused by Carey’s expired passport. The previous day, Angela had revealed their plans to fly to the U.S. for a Disneyland trip, but Carey’s passport renewal hadn’t been completed in time.
Angela posted a short video from the plane they boarded from Vancouver, showing their son Lincoln seated beside her. She explained that their journey began smoothly at the Kelowna airport, but in Vancouver, they faced delays as their flight arrived late. Carey had to go through customs separately while the rest of the family continued ahead. Fortunately, everything worked out, and they managed to catch their flight.
Angela shared their hectic experience:
“We sprinted through the airport because we landed in Vancouver late. We sent Carey on his own to go through customs. We’re on the plane, and look who’s with us.” She then panned the camera to show Carey sitting on the plane with them.
She added, “It was easy peasy. It was a sleepless night for no reason.” However, she mentioned that the most challenging part was dealing with the ticketing agent, though she praised the agent for being helpful.
Finally, Angela expressed their excitement, saying, “We’re on our way to Disneyland!”
Past Travel Challenges for the Price Family
Angela also recalled a similar travel crisis they faced after their son Lincoln was born in the U.S. in October 2020. At the time, they had applied for Lincoln’s passport immediately, but due to COVID-19 backlogs, it didn’t arrive before Carey needed to return to Montreal for the hockey season.
Unable to fly into Canada with Lincoln without a passport, they had to find a creative solution. Angela shared, “So we ended up flying private, again, mid-COVID with baby Lincoln. We got a private plane, and they dropped me and Lincoln off in Plattsburgh, and then we got a car service to drive us across the border.” Meanwhile, Carey, their daughters, and their dogs flew directly to Montreal.
Angela found it amusing that they had to go to such lengths during such a chaotic time.
Despite the challenges, the Price family remains resilient and ready for their next adventure.
