On Monday, the Perumbavoor Police booked a few workers migrants on the basis of accusations of killing their newborn child in Kanjirakad near Perumbavoor. The defendants were Majrul Sek and Sheel from Murshidabad in West Bengal, the policeman said.
Police found the body of a newborn from the garbage in the area of the house after the neighbors pointed out the incident. Police took men into custody while the woman was admitted to the Kalamassery Medical College Hospital. The accused was accused of murder according to Section 103 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS).
The officer said that the man had to confess to the crime and that the female statement had not yet been recorded.
