Santner is recovering from abdominal surgery and is expected to return to the tour in England at the end of this month. In his absence, Michael Bracewell will lead the party, after Captain New Zealand in 10 T20is, including 4-1 victories over Pakistan at the beginning of this year. Squad sees the return of Kyle Jamieson and Ben Searsa. Jamieson missed Zimbabwe to be with his family for the birth of his first child, while Sears sat down with the lateral tension. It joins the seam attack, which also includes Matt Henry, World No.1 T20i Bowler Jacob Duffy and Zak Foulkes. Bevon Jacobs’s young dough maintains its place after debuting against South Africa undefeated 44. Devon Conway, which was developed as a cover in Zimbabwe, remains in the group. Tim Seifert continues as a Wicketkeeper after a record hundreds of CPL for St Lucia Kings, while Tim Robinson is rewarded for his player’s shifts in Tri-Series against South Africa.

Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O’Rouke, Glenn Phillips and Lockie Ferguson are recovering from injuries. Kane Williamson, who signed an occasional agreement on playing with the New Zealand cricket, decided not to participate in the series. A series of three T20i matches will be played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui with games 1, 3 and 4 October.
