To ensure an effective government service for the public, the District Administration IDUKKI will launch a new project called “with People” (janangalod Oppam). Idukki Sub-Cableman ANSOOP Garg is behind the idea of a project that aims to interact with the public and develop people’s trust in public institutions.
Officials said the sub-customer will visit the village office under his jurisdiction every second and fourth Thursday and work in the village office. On that day, Mr. Garg will also deal with complaints in the village and watch the overall administration in the village office.
Idukki, Thodupuha and Peermade taluks are under the jurisdiction of the idukki subcoltor. The sub-customer visits all the village offices in the district. The project “with people” will begin in the village of Kokkayar pod Peermade Taluk 12 June. On the same day, Mr. Garg will work in the office of the village of Kokkayar and will communicate with people in this area.
Mr. Garg said local problems in this area will be solved simultaneously. “Government intervention is required – problems will be studied and steps to speed up management will be taken. The project aims to ensure public participation in administration,” he said.
