Bengaluru city again got ₹7,000 crore in the 2026-27 budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday, same as the previous year.
While a large chunk of the funds, ₹4,000 crore, will go to Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-SMILE) to fund big-ticket projects like tunnel roads, the remaining ₹3,000 crore will be distributed among the five new city corporations and other parastatals such as the Bangalore Board Development Authority (BDA) and Bangalore BSS sources, Bangalore Water S sources said.
