
Panchayati Raj, the Panchayati Raj, came to pressure on data -based management with the first Panchayat (PAI) procedure index. The aim of the index is to identify gaps and frame principles based on evidence. Based on the evaluation system, the highest number of Panchayat D-categories in Chhattisgarh, which is closely followed by Uttar Pradesh.
There are 2.5 lakh grams of panchayat. Of these, data of approximately 2.16 lakh gram Panchayats from 29 countries were evaluated. PAI was compiled on the basis of 435 unique local indicators of nine themes of poverty, livelihood availability, health indices, whether Panchayat, is sufficient water, clean and green, self-sufficient infrastructure, socially fair and socially secured Panchayat, good management of public affairs. On this basis, the Gram Panchayats are grouped into one of the performance categories – Achiever: (90+), Front Runner: (75 to 90); Performer: (60 to below 75); Aspirant: (40 to 60) and beginners (below 40).
According to data shared by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj from 2.16 lakh gram of Panchayat, 699 (0.3%) gram of the Panchayat is the front runner, 77 298 (35.8%) are an artist, 1.32 392 (61.2%) is asparint. None of the Gram Panchayat is qualified as “successful”.
Gujarat with 346 and Telangana with 270 Panchayats leads the sum of the “frontrunner” Panchayats. Chhattisgarh leads the sum of “beginners” with 1,449 Panchayats in this category and Uttar Pradesh closely follows 1 237 Panchayats.
