The official poster of the new flight services between Vijayawada and Orvakal Airport in Kurnool, which started on 2 July, was released on Tuesday by Minister of Industrial and Business Ministers TG Bharath. The sector was recently approved by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Initially, Indigo will operate flights between Vijayawada and Kurnool every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with plans to expand to daily services soon.
The Indigo representative said that the flight from Vijayawady would leave at 15:45 and arrive at Kurnool at 16:50, the return flight will leave Kurnool at 17:10 and arrive in Vijayawady at 18:15, starting at 2,533 GBP per person. The new connectivity of air with Orvakal is expected to benefit industry and higher bureaucrats.
Mr. Bharath said at the event that the state government is determined to develop the Rayalaseem region and is working to attract the main industries related to defense, drones, electric and green energy. The region has already received an investment in the melody of thousands of Crores. “He revealed that the industrial corridor from Lepakshi to Kopparthi and Orvakal in the Kurnool district would soon be developed.
Mr. Bharath shared that the semiconductor industry would probably be established in Orvakal, and the works will be launched as soon as the center publishes its policy on semiconductors. He added that the process of establishing a Supreme Court bench is going on and will soon be completed.
