The US Committee for the Permanent Selection of the US News House has published a once classified report that raises questions about the rating of intelligence in 2016 (ICA), closed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who wanted elected President Donald Trump. The report, originally prepared in 2020, has been classified so far, claims that the Obama administration has ordered an unusually rushing and biased process in creating this evaluation.
This report shows that ICA was not a product of a fair or thorough intelligence process, but political pressure and a selective source.
The intelligence community had “no direct evidence”, Putin favored Trump
The report will find that the US intelligence community (IC) had no direct evidence that shows Putin’s preferences for Trump in the 2016 elections.
Two CIA officers reportedly warned the then CIA director John Brennan that “We do not have direct information that Putin wanted to be elected.”
Despite these warnings, the report states: “ICA did not report any message where Putin directly indicated that Trump’s victory was the goal.”
Obama, Brennan accused of “unusual guidelines”
The Committee noted that ICA production was formed by “unusual directives from the President and higher political denominators”. It is said that only five CIA analysts with one main proposer with limited coordination across the intelligence community have created the report.
“The proposal has not been properly coordinated within the CIA or IC, which ensures that it will be published without significant challenges to its conclusions,” the report said.
He also claims that analysts “hurried” to the completion of ICA to release it two weeks before the elected president entered the office.
Source intelligence called “Imprausible” and “County”
The Committee criticized the inclusion of the intelligence service, which was not published before the elections in 2016, that three of the 15 reports used were “non -standard – containing information that was unclear, uncertain origin, potentially distorted or unlikely”.
“One modest, unclear and uncleable fragment of the sentence from one of the non -standard news is the only classified information cited to design the Putin aspired” to help Trump win, “the report said.
He concluded that “ICA has distorted these reports as reliable without mentioning their significant basic shortcomings.”
She ignored the alternative explanation
According to the committee, ICA failed to consider credible alternative motives for Russia’s behavior.
“ICA ignored or selectively quoted reliable news reports that questioned – and in some cases undermined – judgments that Putin tried to choose Trump,” the report said.
Among the suppressed intelligence was the testimony of the long -time Putin’s confidant, who told the investigators that he “did not care about who won the elections” and that he often pointed to the weakness of Clinton and Trump.
Suppressed Intel suggested that Russia expect clinton victory
The report also notes that Russian officials were preparing for Hillary Clinton’s victory and believed they could “work” with her because they knew their attitude of foreign policy.
“ICA suppressed intelligence that showed that Putin not only showed a clear lack of worries about Trump’s election fate, but also indicated that he could rather see Minister Clinton chose because he knew he would be a more vulnerable president,” the committee concluded.
TULSI GABBART has been declassifying a long secret message for a long time
The National Intelligence Director Gabbard recently declassified the House Committee report and called the first time it was published since its completion in September 2020.
His release is a follow -up to Gabbard’s earlier declassification of documents that indicate that the Obama administration “laid the foundations” for the Trump -russia Colusion probe after Trump’s victory.
