Instead of St. Pilgrimage Rameswaam, 15 pairs of trains, a spokesman for the Union Ministry of Railways, will now be connected to the mainland by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (April 6, 2025).
The new daily train, Tambaram-HraMeswarem-Tambaram Express, covers a distance of 617 km from Tambarama in Chennai to Rameswaram in less than 12 hours, with an average speed of about 53 km / h.
