A neurology ward with advanced MRI scanning was inaugurated at DVC Hospital in Vadlamudi on Saturday (January 24) by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Endowment Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar.
Mr. Payyavula Keshav said that public representatives reach higher positions only by working sincerely for the people and the state. “Criticism is natural in politics. The previous government filed cases and even arrested Mr. Narendra, but failed to prove a single charge. Those who filed cases were embarrassed in the courts,” he said. He recalled how Mr. Narendra was more concerned about protecting Sangam Dairy from a political takeover during his arrest.
“The good work done by Veerayya Chowdary and Narendra saved Sangam Dairy, which grew from a ₹200 crore (business) to ₹2,000 crore, changing the lives of thousands of farmers,” he added.
Mr. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said that only those who are resilient survive in public life. “Sangam Dairy is like an impregnable fortress of farmers and cannot be weakened by conspiracies,” he said, adding that 5,000 temples are being built under the Srivani scheme with a long-term vision of 20,000 temples.
Dhulipalla MLA Narendra Kumar said he entered politics unexpectedly after his father Veerayya Chowdary passed away and became chairman of Sangam Dairy and an MLA at the age of 26.
