Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested 60 prisoners who during the violent Nepalese protests of 8 and 9. September broke out from Nepal prison, the officials said on Thursday.
The prisoners have been held in the last two days at various inspections of India-Nepal, including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar.
All of them were handed over to the local police and are questioned, the officials said.
Sashastra Seema Bal is responsible for guarding 1,751 km-long unwilling india-nepal front on the east side of India. The security force also protects the boundary of India with Bhutan.
