
Nepalese Minister of Foreign Affairs, dr. Araza Rana deub, on Saturday thanked India for “auxiliary assistance in the evacuation of Nepalese nationals from Iran”.
Deuba was described by the Minister of Trade Unions for External Affairs Dr. With Jaishankar, he said that the support of India in the evacuation effort of Nepal is “reflection of the power of Nepal-Indian ties”.
India 18th June announced the launch of the “Sindhu operation” to evacuate its nationals from Iran after his conflict with Israel, who entered into his second week, did not show any signs of release.
The Indian Embassy in Iran said on Saturday that his evacuation effort would also include Nepal and Sri Lanka. In the post for X, the embassy said: “At the request of the governments of Nepal and Sri Lanka, the evacuation effort of the Indian embassy in Iran will also deal with the citizens of Nepal and Sri Lanka.”

Indian Sindhu operation
The flight of the evacuation of Mahan Air bearing 256 Indian students, most of the Kashmir valley, landed safely on Saturday at the airport in Delhi, bringing their anxiety family much needed relief.
According to the PTI report, students, many of whom were stuck in Iran in the middle of the escalating tension in the Middle East, appeared visibly exhausted, but relieved after permanent days of fear and uncertainty in the conflict zone.
“Thanks to the Indian government for its efforts and early coordination with the Iranian authorities. We are still determined to ensure the safe evacuation of all remaining students, especially those of vulnerable and remote regions,” said the Association of Jamm and Kashmir students.
The association also confirmed that it is expected that another evacuation flight bearing Indian students around 23:30 is expected to arrive in the national capital.
That was the second flight that brought Indians from Iran within 24 hours under Sindhu operation. Another flight from Mashhad, Iran, with 290 Indian students, mostly from Jamm and Kashmir landed in Delhi on Friday evening, the report added.
The Indian authorities in coordination with their Iranian counterparts facilitated the movement of stuck students from Tehran to Mashhad before joining Mashhad. Iran also opened its airy space with a special gesture to support evacuation.
Almost 1,000 Indian nationals are brought home through a number of special flights. On Thursday, 110 students were flying through Armenia and Doha. There are also two more flights, including one of the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat (expected arrival around 3 hours), said the PTI report.
