
Nepal will host the qualification of the women’s World Cup T20, and confirmed the ICC on Wednesday. The tournament will take place in Kathmandu from 12 January to 2 February 2026 in two places – Mulpani and Upper Mulpani. For more than 21 days, 10 teams will compete for four seats in the main tournament that will take place in England and Wales from 12 June to 5 July 2026.
Bangladesh and Scotland have already ensured seats in qualifying after participation in the women’s World Cup T20 2024. The United States, Nepal and Thailand qualified through regional tournaments. The remaining five teams will be intended through qualifications in Africa, Europe and East Asia and the Pacific next year.
Nepal won his place by finishing second behind Thailand in Asia, held in Thailand. Their key victory over the UAE, highlighted undefeated 30 from the Captain Indu Burma and the square raid Manisha Upiphyay (4/20), secured its first place in global qualifications.
Hosting the event represents a historical moment for Nepal. The team will not only compete for the first time in global qualifications, but will also have the opportunity to do it at home. The format includes two groups of five teams, followed by a super six scene and the final, promising action of high bets and the main opportunity for the women’s crickets to shine.
24 days, 33 matches
The Women’s World Cup T20 ICC in 2026 will be played in seven iconic places in England, where 33 matches will be presented for 24 days. The tournament will start on 12 June with hosts of England, who participates in Sri Lanka in Edgbaston in Birmingham. One of the main accessories, India vs Pakistan will also take place in Edgbaston 14 June.
Group matches and semifinals will be played in Old Trafford (Manchester), Headingley (Leeds), Hampshire Bowl (Southampton), Bristol County Ground (Bristol) and Oval (London). The semifinals are scheduled for June 30 and July 2.
