National Educational Policy-2020 (NEP-2020) has brought positive results over the last five years by creating more career opportunities for the growing young population in India, TV Kattimani, a member of the Committees and the NEP-2020 committees, said on Tuesday.
Mr. Kathtimani stressed that more than 65% of the Indian population is under 35 years. Ensuring quality life and living for them is important challenges for the government. To resolve these challenges, the government appointed the NEP’s design committee, with K. Kasturrangan eight years ago. The initial results of the NEP-2020 were good because youth acquire several skills that become valuable property of human resources to Earth.
He emphasized the importance of states performing NEP-2020 in a letter and spirit. He said “NEP-2020 allows students to study multidisciplinary courses in addition to a selected conventional course. Traditional imprisonment on the streams of art, science and medicine offers wider opportunities, increases skills, allows students to accept more jobs and explore other career opportunities.
Dr. Kattimani, along with three other members of the design committee, will soon present a report to the Union Government, which includes feedback from different states and academic communities for the next steps on NEP-2020.
